Terms of service
The agreement between you and {{ trading_name|default:"FreeMCS" }} when you use the service.
These terms cover your use of the heat-pump survey and design service offered by {{ trading_name|default:"FreeMCS" }}. The {{ trading_name|default:"FreeMCS" }} platform is operated by Anvul Ltd (England & Wales, CH 17111703). By using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
The service lets you collect property data, generate a heat-loss calculation under BS EN 12831 and MCS 3005-D, receive heat-pump and radiator sizing recommendations, and produce an MCS-compliant report. Calculations are deterministic engineering outputs; final sign-off is the responsibility of a qualified MCS-certified installer.
2. Your account and responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate property and contact information.
- Keep your sign-in details secret and tell us about any unauthorised access.
- Use the service for lawful purposes only.
- Not impersonate another person or business.
- Not attempt to access another customer's data.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service in bulk.
- Upload malicious content, spam, or attempt to disrupt the platform.
- Use the service to mislead a third party (for example, submit a calculation you know is based on false data).
- Resell access without a written reseller agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with notice where reasonable.
4. Fees
Where a fee applies it will be displayed before you commit to the service. Fees are payable as stated; refunds follow our published refund rules and your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
5. Liability
We accept liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law. For all other liability:
- Our total liability is capped at the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- We do not accept liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profits or business opportunity.
- The calculation outputs are engineering recommendations — the on-site installer is responsible for the final design choices and sign-off.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Intellectual property
The platform, code, and report formats are the intellectual property of Anvul Ltd (the operator of the {{ trading_name|default:"FreeMCS" }} platform). You own your survey inputs (room dimensions, photos, answers). The service grants you a licence to use the report you generate, including for grant applications and warranty registration.
7. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data subject to our retention duty. We can terminate your access if you breach these terms or fail to pay; we will refund any unused fees prepaid for future periods.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will be heard by the courts of England & Wales, except where consumer-protection legislation gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
9. Modifications
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you and post a new effective date. Continued use after a material change means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can stop using the service and ask us to delete your data.
10. How to contact us
For questions about these terms, email {{ support_email|default:"support@freemcs.com" }} or write to Anvul Ltd (the platform operator), 16 Radford Road, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 7DA.
